So I’m pretty sure the entire world is aware that I love bags. It’s in my genes (you should see my mom’s purse collection). I also love Wes Anderson and am SO EXCITED to see The Grand Budapest Hotel. One of the reasons I love Anderson is that he really takes his time with the details. Details like this:
The film takes place in Europe between World War I and World War II. Anderson asked Miuccia Prada to create a 21-piece set for Tilda Swinton’s and Ralph Fiennes’ characters. The luggage is based on designs from the 20’s and 30’s, when Prada was mostly a leather goods brand.
For The Darjeeling Limited, Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton created the luggage carried by Jason Schwartzman, Owen Wilson, and Adrien Brody.
I still lust after this luggage.
